About EvalShare
EvalShare is an independent product review publication that helps online shoppers make confident, well-researched buying decisions. We specialize in two categories that affect millions of households: home security cameras and 3D printing supplies.
Our Mission
Affiliate marketing is broken. Most “review” sites are content farms that parrot Amazon descriptions, rank for buyer-intent keywords, and link to high-commission products without ever testing them. EvalShare exists to be the opposite: we buy every product at retail, run it through our standardized test protocol, and publish what we find — including the flaws.
What We Do
For each product we review, our team:
- Purchases the product at full retail price from Amazon (no manufacturer samples).
- Documents the unboxing and first-impression experience.
- Runs the product through our 14-day standardized test protocol (see Review Standards).
- Compares it head-to-head against 2-3 competitors in the same price bracket.
- Tracks long-term reliability for a minimum of 90 days post-review.
- Updates the review when the price changes, a new competitor enters the market, or our long-term findings change.
How We Make Money
EvalShare earns affiliate commissions when readers buy products through our links. This costs the reader nothing extra — Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale (typically 1-4% on Amazon, depending on the category). The commission never affects our editorial conclusions. We routinely recommend products that earn us less commission when a higher-commission alternative is the worse choice for the reader.
Full disclosure: we have a financial relationship with Amazon via the Amazon Associates program. We may also earn commissions from other affiliate networks (PartnerBoost, Impact, ShareASale) for products reviewed on this site.
Our Team
EvalShare is a small team of product reviewers, engineers, and copywriters. Meet them on our Authors page.
Editorial Independence
Manufacturers do not see our reviews before publication. We do not accept payment, gifts, or “review units” in exchange for positive coverage. If a product is bad, we say it is bad — even if we spent $1,000 on it.
